I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, a city nicely cradled by the curves of the Mississippi River. Within its quiet streets, everything seems to be constantly bathed in the soft, beautiful glow of sunlight filtering through the trees.

I moved to Rochester, NY, and then to Scotland for school, but came home and put down roots here in 2022. Walking around the neighborhoods I grew up in with my camera, I unexpectedly found myself waking up to the beauty of the place where I was lucky enough to grow up.

Being here now, memories of my childhood - laying in the grass, watching dandelions dance slowly in the breeze, the sound of mourning doves through my bedroom window - intertwine with my present. What started as documenting my every day evolved into an attempt to photograph the quiet poetry I have found living in the threads that connect my memories to my present, and me to this place. I love St. Paul, and I hope not only for you to see why in these pages, but that you see a bit of your own hometown in mine.
